GCD and LCM Calculator
How to Use the Calculator
To use this calculator, follow these simple steps:
- Enter the first number in the “Number 1” field.
- Enter the second number in the “Number 2” field.
- Click the “Calculate” button to see the GCD and LCM results.
Understanding the Results
Once you click “Calculate”, you will see two results displayed:
- GCD (Greatest Common Divisor): This is the largest number that divides both numbers without leaving a remainder.
- LCM (Least Common Multiple): This is the smallest number that is a multiple of both numbers.
Example
Let’s say you want to find the GCD and LCM of the numbers 12 and 18. Enter 12 in the “Number 1” field and 18 in the “Number 2” field, then click “Calculate”. The result will show:
- GCD: 6 (since 6 is the largest number that divides both 12 and 18)
- LCM: 36 (since 36 is the smallest number that is a multiple of both 12 and 18)
