How to Calculate Bucket Volume
This calculator finds the volume of a bucket (truncated cone shape) in metric units. Enter the top diameter, bottom diameter, and height to compute water capacity.
Example: a standard 10-liter bucket typically has a top diameter of 28 cm, bottom diameter of 24 cm, and height of 26 cm. A large construction bucket 35 cm top, 28 cm bottom, and 33 cm tall holds about 25 liters.
The formula is V = (πh/3)(R² + Rr + r²), where R and r are the top and bottom radii.
