How to calculate square meters?
In order to convert from meters to square meters, you need to multiply the width in meters by the length in meters.
1 m2 = 1 m * 1 m
According to the formula:
A = b * l, where
A – area in m2;
b – width in m (meters);
l – length in m (meters).
The total cost is calculated using the formula:
TC = A * C
TC – total cost;
A – area in m2;
C – price per 1 m2.
Calculate the area first, then apply the price
For a rectangle, area is A = length × width. If the room is square, use the same side twice: a 7 m × 7 m classroom is 49 m², and at 73 per m² the total is 3,577. If the area is already known, cost is simply area × rate, so 10 m² at 450 per m² costs 4,500. For several rooms or panels, calculate each area and add them before applying one common rate, or price them separately when rates differ. Material waste is an ordering allowance, not part of the geometric area itself.
