Use length × width for one rectangle, divide cm² by 10,000 for direct conversion, or multiply one piece area by quantity.
Examples
15 cm × 40 cm × 152 pieces equals 9.12 m². 3848.45 cm² equals 0.384845 m².
Important limit
Dimensions need an explicit unit. The calculator does not assume whether an unlabeled size is mm, cm or inches.
One length is not an area
A value such as 179 cm describes only length, so it cannot be converted to m² without a second dimension. For a rectangular panel, tile, shelf or piece of glass, multiply length by width and divide the result in cm² by 10,000. A 60 × 30 cm piece is 0.18 m², and ten identical pieces cover 1.8 m² before waste. For non-rectangular shapes, use the correct geometry or split the shape into simpler parts instead of treating one measurement as an area.
