Volume in milliliters (mL, ml):
Density of some materials:
- Air ≈ 1.2 kg/m3
- Aluminum = 2700 kg/m3
- Concrete ≈ 2400 kg/m3
- Diesel ≈ 850 kg/m3,
- Gasoline (petrol) ≈ 710 kg/m3
- Steel = 7850 kg/m3
- Water (4°C) = 1000 kg/m3
How to convert from kg to mL?
The volume in milliliters is equal to the mass (weight) in kilograms divided by the density in kilograms per cubic meter and multiply by 1 000 000.
Formula:
V = (m / p) x 1 000 000
V – volume in milliliters (mL, ml);
m – mass (weight) in kilograms (kg);
ρ – density in kilogram per cubic meter (kg/m3, kg/(cu m), kg m-3).
Example
Convert 10 kg to mL if the density is 1000 kg/m3.
Solution: V = (m / p) x 1000000 =( 10 / 1000 ) x 1000000 = 10 000 mL. Answer: 10 kg = 10 000 mL (density = 1000 kg/m3)
In this calculator, density can be entered in the following units (click on density unit):
- kilogram per cubic meter (kg/m³, kg/(cu m))
- tons per cubic meter (t/m³, t/(cu m))
- grams per milliliter (g/mL)
- grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm³, g/(cu cm), g/cc)
- pound per cubic inch (lb/in³, lb/(cu in))
- pound per cubic foot (lb/ft³, lb/(cu ft), lb/(cf))
- pound per US liquid gallon (lb/US gal)
- ounce per cubic inch (oz/in³, oz/(cu in))
- ounce per cubic foot (oz/ft³, oz/(cu ft))
- slug per cubic foot (slug/ft³, slug/(cu ft), slug/cf)
