How to Calculate Horizontal Oval Tank Volume
Compute volume of a horizontal tank with an oval (stadium or rounded rectangle) cross-section. Enter the width, height, corner radius, tank length, and fill level.
Example: an oval tank 1.4 m wide, 0.9 m high, and 2.5 m long holds approximately 2,460 liters full. At 0.3 m fill, it contains about 490 liters.
Oval tanks are used in underground heating oil storage and mobile tanker trucks where clearance is restricted.
