This calculator turns Morse speed settings into practical timing values. Enter a character speed, optional Farnsworth speed and a message to estimate dot, dash, gap and total duration.
Timing model
The dot length is 1200 divided by character WPM in milliseconds. A dash is three dots. Standard letter and word gaps are three and seven dot units; Farnsworth mode lengthens spacing while keeping character elements at the faster speed.
Scope
The duration estimate uses International Morse characters for A-Z, digits and common punctuation. It is meant for practice planning and message timing, not transmitter calibration.
