How to Calculate Truncated Cone Volume

Compute the volume of a frustum (truncated cone) using V = (πh/3)(R² + Rr + r²). Enter top and bottom diameters and height in metric units.

Example: a conical hopper with 1.2 m top diameter, 0.4 m bottom diameter, and 1.5 m height holds approximately 1,319 liters. A flower pot 20 cm top, 14 cm bottom, and 18 cm tall holds about 3.7 liters.

Common in hoppers, funnels, tapered tanks, flower pots, and lampshade shapes.
