How to convert kWh of gas to m³
m³ = kWh ÷ calorific value (kWh/m³). The CV depends on gas composition and combustion conditions — typical range 8–12 kWh/m³.
Common mistake
Using a single fixed factor. The same 1000 kWh is 125 m³ at CV 8 but only 83 m³ at CV 12 — a 50% difference. Always use your supplier’s CV.
